Depression Hypnosis Download

Can a depression hypnosis download really help you? Let’s be open right from the start: in most cases hypnosis can’t completely cure depression. This might work for highly hypnotizable people, but for most people hypnosis should be one of several things you use to overcome depression.

Hypnosis for depression can help you because depression is a complex problem, and there are many aspects to it. Hypnosis can help to attack this problem from many angles. For example, if you lack self-esteem or feel unworthy, hypnosis can help you to feel better about yourself.

It can also help you to better cope with stress, improve the quality of your sleep, promote relaxation and energy levels and help you to get motivated to engage more fully in life.

Hypnosis isn’t a magic solution. It’s not like you just put on headphones, listen to a self hypnosis audio session and then are cured. You still need to work on yourself. You still need to be proactive in managing your emotions. You still need to put in the effort. And I’m not even saying that it’s easy – but what I am saying is that it’s possible, and that you can do it.

So, if it’s not easy, why not just take a pill? Well, read why antidepressants aren’t exactly the best way to go…

Big Pharma’s Medication Myths

There is one thing that you should know though: depression is not caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. There once was a theory that people are depressed because of low serotonin levels, but this has already been proven wrong in 1983 – the National Institute of Mental Health wrote: “There is no evidence that there is anything wrong in the serotonergic system of depressed patients.”

Yet, the idea of a chemical imbalance in the brain sticks around. This is one of the myths that big pharmaceutical corporations use to increase their revenues from anti-depressive medication. Many people think that pharmaceutical companies wouldn’t do such a thing, and that it’s a crazy conspiracy theory.

But keep in mind: these companies are making around $80 billion dollars in profits a year from selling psychotropic drugs! While there are surely many honest, hardworking, smart and ethical people at pharmaceutical corporations who work because of a genuine desire to help people with depression, there are also those who are in this business for one reason: the desire for money. And greed doesn’t stop on Wall Street.

According to a recent (May 2018) report by health-insurance company BlueCross BlueShield, depression diagnosis is up 33% in the US since 2013.

If you break down the data in the report by age group, there’s something even more shocking: A 63% increase in depression diagnoses among 12-17 year olds, and a 47% increase in the age group of 18-34.

What’s more: taking antidepressants can post a serious health risk.

“Antipsychotics can increase cardiac risk even at low doses, whereas antidepressants do it generally at high doses or in the setting of drug combinations.”

– Serge Sicouri, Charles Antzelevitch, Sudden cardiac death secondary to antidepressant and antipsychotic drugs, Expert Opin Drug Saf. 2008 March; 7(2): 181–194. doi:  10.1517/14740338.7.2.181

And a 2009 study has shown that antipsychotic drugs doubled the risk of sudden cardiac death. ((Ray WA, Chung CP, Murray KT, Hall K, Stein CM., Atypical antipsychotic drugs and the risk of sudden cardiac death., N Engl J Med. 2009 Jan 15;360(3):225-35.))

In fact, there are many more studies than I care to quote here, and they make an important point: it’s best to not start antidepressants in the first place, and if you’re already taking them, it’s best to use a natural depression remedy that makes it possible for you to cope with depression without drugs. (However, I do not recommend that you stop taking antidepressants if you are taking them now – you need to discuss this with a trusted therapist who is familiar with your case).
